Background

Nearly two decades in infrastructure engineering, platform architecture, and engineering leadership. Started in Unix systems administration, moved through large-scale SaaS infrastructure at companies like Salesforce and ServiceNow, and into architectural and leadership roles.

The common thread: making complex systems understandable, operable, and resilient.

Technical Perspective

I approach problems through the lens of operational reality. Software doesn't exist in isolation — it lives inside systems that must function reliably under real-world conditions.

I'm drawn to problems involving infrastructure automation, reliability engineering, distributed systems, and the intersection of AI with engineering workflows.

Leadership

Engineering organizations succeed or fail based on the systems they create for people to work within. Architecture, processes, incentives, culture — when those align, teams produce remarkable work.

My role as a leader is to design environments where good engineering becomes the natural outcome.

Outside Work

Constantly building and experimenting — home lab environments, distributed systems tooling, hardware projects. Driven by curiosity about how systems behave at scale.
